Hey there! My name is Michael McComas and I'm an computer scientist graduate from MTSU and an Android Developer at FortyAU. I am a super outdoorsy person with a lot of positivity. I am trying everything I can to improve my Mobile Dev skills and to help others so don't be afraid to reach out! :)

Mid-June of 2021 I began working with a software development consulting company working on several projects. From working on an Asurion health application, creating a fitness app from the ground up with a grant from the national science foundation, to working with Cirrus to maintain their IOS application. Our development teams are all 'mentor-minded' meaning that when someone is unfamiliar with a topic but someone else is, they work together to help them understand. I've had the opportunity to implement features such as Audio detection, creating a fitness app from the ground up, and creating multi-language support.

In early August of 2019, I began to learn android through small projects such as a tip calculator and small two button games. Over the next several months I learned more about android architecture patterns and how to properly design an application. I learned about MVVM, JetPack Libraries: Navigation Component, Room, Live Data, 'Seperation of Concerns', GitHub: version control, Kotlin, Firebase, and so much more.

PRGX

Data Developer

In early june of 2019 I had the opportunity to work with PRGX to create new in-house applications. I used Microsoft access and SQL databases to create dynamic tools to track, report, view, and analyze data. I had the honor of having one of the tools I created adopted by their entire North American division. Working here has allowed me to gain knowledge of how to analyze/make data readable, and show me the product production process.
